There are some seriously quick drivers racing this year and it looks like there are going to be some epic battles across the field. The championship tables are all updated and can be found here – https://kartcup.co.uk/results-table/
Round 2 is now less than two weeks away. Thanks to all the drivers that have already got their entries in but we’d like the rest in by this Friday (23/3) please.
If there are any drivers that would like to join the series at Round 2, we also need your tyre orders in by this Friday. You’re allowed to drop one round so you’re still in with a chance of winning the championship.
We’ve made the decision to return to mixed grids for Round 2. This will mean that there will be some very exciting racing as the quicker drivers make their way through but also a chance for some of the drivers typically further down the grid to score some more points. We appreciate that there are some concerns over increased contact but we’ve been given some additional track time for Round 2 by BKC. This means there is more time for those drivers to race through the pack so please take care remembering that not all drivers are as experienced as others and may react differently to how you expect.
Drivers need to be aware of karts around them and if a kart is alongside you on the inside, you must yield to them, tuck in behind and then have another go at getting them back at the next opportunity. We don’t believe that there are any malicious drivers on the grid but we won’t tolerate dangerous driving and anyone found driving in that manner will ultimately be removed from the series.
We’re both really looking forward to Round 2. See you at Hooton!
