We have a great team of officials, but please remember they are human. We can try to give clarity on penalties where possible, but they cannot be overturned without compelling evidence. We do not review video footage and appeals will only be heard after finals.
- Some of you will feel you’ve been penalised unfairly
- Some of you will miss yellow flags and be absolutely sure they weren’t there
- Some of you will get unfair nose cone penalties
- Some of you will feel another driver got away without a penalty
We will do our best, but we will not be perfect. Please treat our officials with respect. And please remember that these things do tend to even out over the course of a championship.
Tyre barcodes – Slicks
Barcodes for your race slicks for the season must be uploaded to Alpha (click ‘EVENT SIGN ON’ button above) before 12pm on Saturday 6 August so we can upload them all to our scanner in time for checking at scrutineering. Once digital scrutineering has closed, they cannot be changed unless there is an issue with a tyre.
NKC drivers – If you have raced with us before, you do not need to complete scrutineering if you have previously uploaded your barcodes as we already have them unless you are registering a second set that has not been registered before.
It is your responsibility to upload your barcodes correctly and to have them checked if you are unsure.
All classes will be doing online safety scrutineering other than Junior Rotax who will be scrutineered after their final practice session on Saturday.
100UK – please await instructions regarding tyre marking.
100UK Digital Scrutineering Cards
100UK drivers please enter your nominated chassis and engine(s) in Alpha. This is to replace the old scrutineering card.
If you have nominated to be a novice on entry, you will start your heats from the back of the grids. If you didn’t choose to be a novice on entry but have decided you’d like to be one please let one of the organisers know on Saturday. The organisers may compel a driver to start from the back should they deem this is required for safety reasons.
Senior Rotax 162 and 177 classes will have 4 heats, with each driver competing in 3. Grids are generated by the timing system and will be published on Friday. Everyone will be mixed together, there’s no simple split such as odds/evens, so there’s no need for last minute number changes or similar.
Camping on site is allowed Thurs/Friday/Saturday and you may arrive from 5:30pm on Thursday. Gates will be left open at night for late arrivals. Please only setup caravans in paddock 1. The paddock is going to be busy, so please be courteous and don’t take up more space than necessary and please make sure not to setup in the organisers area as marked above.
Cars must not be parked in the paddock unless they double up as your only race support vehicle. Please park them in paddock 2 at the far end. Please leave the paddock clean and tidy and take old tyres home with you.
The timetable for the weekend has been published above and will be on display in the paddock. For the racing we are publishing a running order only. Please make note of the order and listen out for Tannoy calls so you know when your next session is approaching. It is the driver’s responsibility to be on the dummy grid on time.
Please ensure you are on the dummy grid at least 5 minutes before your session starts. If drivers are late, it will affect the smooth running of the event and impact on everyone’s track time. Sessions will not be delayed for late comers. Repeat offenders will be penalised.
Hand-held starter policy
Hand-held starters must not be shared between karts.
We are using AMB Mylaps transponders. If you have requested to hire one, they are charged at £15. If you need to hire, please go to the office on Saturday 9:30am-11:30am to collect. Please remember to hand them back after the finals on Sunday.
IMPORTANT – Transponders must be fitted to your kart for session 4 and 5 of Saturday practice for checking. If you do not fit your transponder, you will not be allowed out in that session. Put your transponders on to charge now as this is not a valid excuse for not fitting it.
Signing On & Drivers Briefing
Signing on for the weekend is now open. Please click on the ‘EVENT SIGN ON’ button above. There will also be an online driver briefing document. Please read the briefing carefully, you will be required to confirm you have done so when you sign on. We will let you know when signing on is live.
There will be still be a driver briefing in person on Saturday morning that you all must attend. Please see the timetable.
The clerks and marshals will guide you so please listen to them. You may need to wait until the following session has been before you can return to the paddock.
If you find yourself and kart in a position that is causing a yellow flag, if it is safe, please do your best to move yourself and your kart out of the way otherwise you will impact the racing on track.
