Another brilliant weekend dispatched at a (mostly) sunny Fulbeck as the NKC roadshow continued. This time we welcomed 3 new drivers, Luke Gee, Caroline Jennings and Steve King. It was a shame that championship leader after Round 1, Megan Williams, was missing through injury and Sam King was having a weekend off. However, we look forward to welcoming them both back for Round 3 at Llandow.

Saturday testing was disrupted by afternoon rain and with a dry forecast for race day, only a few elected to go venture out in the wet. The weather for Sunday was even better than expected and we enjoyed another flawless day thanks to some great organisation by Fulbeck Sprint Series.

This was another busy IKR meeting, with a lot of grids to get through, but it ran without a hitch. So, thank you to Fulbeck for helping us to arrange our visit and for accommodating us so well into their program. It was certainly very welcome to be put at the start of the order so we could start our journeys home nice and early.

There was strong competition throughout the field, with several mini battles taking place. The business end of the final broke in to 2 fights over 3rd/4th and 1st/2nd, with Jake Horan beating Chris Cox to 3rd and Luke Gee snatching the win from Oli Nitch-Smith in 2nd. It’s fair to say Luke’s pace was relentless all weekend and Oli did incredibly well to up his game throughout Sunday to make him work hard for the win.

Results from the final can be found here.

We have to give a special mention to Rob Fast-But-Dangerous Cox. If he can stop crashing then he will surely be in the hunt for trophies. The flag marshals will probably appreciate that too!

Round 3 at Llandow is just 2 weeks away. This is also Round 1 of our Southern Cup, so if you fancy joining in the fun we have a trophy for you to race for.
